I’m Stephen.

I lead engineering organisations through growth and change. At Bloom & Wild, Europe’s leading online flower and gifting company, I built the Technology function from 9 engineers to a 65+ person organisation, including through acquisition and the integration that follows, and I led the company’s AI transformation across Technology. Before that I led the technology team at THEOUTNET.COM (part of the YOOX Net-a-Porter Group), and I’ve held development, testing and leadership roles at Nokia and Ericsson.

What I care about most is engineering cultures where people do their best work, and leading change by listening first. I speak at conferences including QCon, LeadDev and Agile on the Beach, and I coach and mentor engineering leaders through onegreenhill.
